Kids made sculpted faces in 5 tones illustrating that all people are made from the same ingredients and should be treated with equal respect. This took place prior to the main events at the 2012 All People's Day Diversity Festival in Delray beach Florida.

Two kids at the 2012 All People's Day Diversity Festival look at the art at a booth that displays works by US prisoners. Prisoner Art reproduces and sells the art then sends the fees directly to the prisoner artist.

Our All People’s Day Diversity Festival will take place next Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at Pompey Park (indoors) at 1101 NW 2nd Street and NW 10th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444. This free to the public event boasts a wide variety of activities for the whole family.

The Main Events start at 11 am with dazzling performances of dance, music, social theatre, and poetry spanning the globe commencing on the stage in 15 minute intervals. These beautifully costumed artists include, Rising Phoenix (Middle –Eastern dance), the Delray Divas (African-American foot stomp), Fushu Daiko (Japanese Taiko drumming), SD Spady Diversity Skit, Harling Irish Dance Academy, Puppet Network (enormous size puppet performance), Temple Sinai Choir, Haitian American Solidarity (dance) as well as numerous others, treating the attendees to a vast array of cultural experiences. Prizes donated by local businesses and merchandise booths are to be raffled off. Optional: bring canned food for the Caring Kitchen.

Over 40 interactive and merchandise booths will feature a diverse mix to see and do. One will find arts projects such as Origami Peace Crane folding and family mural painting, issue based activities such as health awareness coordinated by 100 Black Women of the South Palm Beach County Chapter, clever word games by non profits, as well as for sale items such as artwork, jewelry, and mouthwatering international cuisine.

Prior to all this, a free workshop from 9:30 to 11:00 am will teach children to make the Craft Dough People. Plain white craft dough will be divided into five parts. Food colors representing the brown, beige, red, gold, or mixed skin tones will be added to each part. From these the kids will make five small faces on the same surface. In addition to being great fun, this is a visual and easily understood illustration that all people are made from the same materials and should therefore be treated with equal respect. Pre-registration for the workshop is open to the first 30 people who sign-up by calling (561) 495-9818.
